The Building Technology Educators’ Society strives for inclusivity and understands that for some, membership fees represent a significant deterrent to participation and engagement in learning resources. As such, the BTES is offering a two-year membership fee waiver for faculty, students, and professionals who are citizens of and living in developing countries.
When filling out your membership form, select two-year membership and specify that you will pay offline. Please also make sure to include your institutional or commercial affiliation within the developing country.
After submitting your form, please email the BTES Treasurer, Nik Nikolov, at treasurer@btes.org with proof of residency and your contact information. After confirmation, we will waive the fee in the system for you.
The classification of developing countries is based on a report released by the United Nations in March of 2017, the full outline of which can be found here. Based on this report, the BTES recognizes any country NOT on the following list as developing and qualifies for a waived membership fee:
